Questions and answers
Which size do I need?
35 × 45 mm is used for most passports and Schengen visas (UK, EU, India, Pakistan, the UAE and many more). The US uses 2 × 2 inches. Always check the official instructions for your document, because rules on size, background colour and head size differ.
How do I print it at the right size?
The files are saved at 300 DPI. Print the 4 × 6 in sheet as a standard 4 × 6 (10 × 15 cm) photo print, or print the A4 sheet at 100% / actual size, not "fit to page", then cut along the lines.
Can it change my background to white?
Not yet. For the best result, stand in front of a plain white or light grey wall with light on your face.
Can I use it for an online visa application?
Yes. Enter the maximum file size in KB and the photo is saved as a JPG under that limit. Some forms also ask for exact pixels; use Custom size or our Resize image tool.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser; your photo never leaves your device.
