How to Turn Photos into a PDF on iPhone or Android
Open JPG to PDFFree · works in your browser · no upload→Receipts, homework, signed forms, ID cards: you photograph them with your phone, then someone asks for "a PDF". Here are three ways to turn photos into a single PDF on a phone, from the quickest to the most flexible.
On iPhone and iPad (built in)
- Open Photos, tap Select and choose the pictures in the order you want.
- Tap the Share button, then Print.
- In the print preview, pinch outwards on the first page. It opens as a PDF.
- Tap Share again and choose Save to Files or send it directly.
This works, but you can't control margins or page size, and the file can be large.
On Android (built in)
- Open the photo in Google Photos or your gallery app.
- Tap ⋮ More, then Print.
- Set the printer to Save as PDF and tap the PDF button.
Most gallery apps only print one photo at a time this way, so it's slow for multi-page documents. Google Drive's Scan button is better for paper documents, as it crops and flattens pages.
Any phone: several photos into one PDF, with options
- Open JPG to PDF in your browser.
- Tap Choose images and select all your photos at once. JPG, PNG, WEBP and screenshots all work.
- Drag the thumbnails into the right order.
- Choose the page size (A4, Letter, or fit to image), orientation and margins.
- Tap Create PDF, then download it, email it, or share it on WhatsApp.
The photos are processed on your phone, not uploaded to a server, which matters for ID cards and bank documents.
Tips for a clean result
- Light: photograph documents near a window, not under a lamp, to avoid shadows and glare.
- Flat and square: hold the phone directly above the page, not at an angle.
- Crop first: crop each photo to the page edges in your gallery app. The PDF will look scanned instead of photographed, and be much smaller.
- Too big to send? Run the finished PDF through Compress PDF.
